JSW Infrastructure has started container operations at New Mangalore on the basis of a 30-year concession. It has a 350-metre quay line at its disposal and a storage area of 15.5 ha. It is equipped with three mobile harbour cranes capable of handling ships of up to 9,000 TEU and reach stackers. Initial capacity is 240,000 TEU, to be raised to 400,000 TEU in 2024.
