That this week’s DynaLiners Shares Index dropped 60 points and 2.6% (to finish on 2,218), was down entirely to the carriers. DLSI Carriers lost 196 points and 4.9% to register 3,846. This was because nine of the ten index members whose shares fell the most were indeed carriers. Samudera’s shares dropped 17% and those of OOIL 10% with, in order, major carriers Cosco Shipping, Hapag-Lloyd, Yang Ming and Evergreen (-7.5%) occupying the following places.
