A new operator, dubbed Carrier53, has entered the Transpacific trade. The recently-established Hamburg-Based company will focus on transporting 53’ intermodal containers between the Far East (Qingdao, Taicang, Humen) and US West Coast (Portland, Los Angeles). It advertises a fleet of six general cargo ships with a deadweight of between 33,000 and 38,000 tons.
