Sector reports

Drawing upon our expertise and experience, Dynamar has established a portfolio of quality standard studies, which can be considered as “off the shelf” consultancy, but then for a fraction of the cost to you. Offering a combination of quantitative and qualitative analyses, these studies provide a comprehensive insight in shipping sectors and trades, placing them in both current and historical contexts.

Container liner trade analyses

These extensive studies provide insight in specific container shipping lanes. Centred on Dynamar’s Annual Trade Capacity modelling, they analyse the liner network and look at which carriers provide capacity along which trade lanes down to the individual port level. At a glance, these analyses show which trades, ports and carriers are the busiest, be that overall or per specific trade lane. Accompanied by trade, port and cargo data, plus trade relevant profiles on the carriers, ports, terminal operators and the countries concerned, they provide a clear understanding of the ins and outs of the trade lanes for practitioners and observers alike. Recurring titles in this series are:

      • The West Africa Container Trades

      • The East and Southern Africa Container Trades

      • The Intra-Mediterranean Container Trades

      • Feedering Analysis

    Shipping sector analyses

Shipping sector analyses offer an in-depth insight into the specifics of (semi-)liner trade sectors carrying various types of breakbulk. The focus is on cargoes, trade volumes, major players and fleets. Each aspect is analysed and presented in a clear and relatable format, accompanied by a wealth of statistics. Alongside the historical context, they also give an indication, through market projections, how the sectors could develop in the coming years. Our portfolio of shipping sector studies include:

        • Reefer Market Analysis

        • Breakbulk Analysis

        • Ro/Ro Shipping Analysis

      Incidental studies

Alongside our regular issues, Dynamar also undertakes a range of occasional studies prepared along the same lines as the recurring analyses focussed on specific topics, such as ports and terminals.
