Before the end of the year, HLLA and Eurogate may sign a Letter of Intent on cooperation, according to the CEO of HHLA (DL 23/20). The agreement would cover their German terminals in Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven, but exclude their foreign properties. HLLA thinks a partnership would not cause problems with competitive authorities, because the various terminals have different shareholders, such as Hapag-Lloyd (Hamburg and soon Wilhelmshaven), APM Terminals (Bremerhaven), MSC’s TIL (Bremerhaven) and soon Cosco Shipping Ports (Hamburg).
