Tianjin has opened the new Shenghua International Container Terminal (location), which will be operated by a joint venture of Tianjin Port Co (60%), Grand Asia International Shipping and Terminal Link (CMA CGM/China Merchants). It offers a quay line of 1,100 metres (3 berths) equipped with ten StS Cranes and provides capacity for 2.5 million TEU. The facility is also nicknamed Rainbow Terminal, because of the colours of its cranes.
