The Mediterranean Spanish port of Cartagena has approved the EUR 822 million masterplan for a new 58 ha multipurpose terminal in the Escombreras port area (location). Currently, containers, some 60,000 TEU per year, are lifted in Puerto Commercial, where there is a 380-metre quay line equipped with two StS gantry cranes
